Kate Redgate has  been a working  performing songwriter for over 25 years.  She grew up in rural southern Illinois and left home extremely young. Shortly thereafter, she left the midwest entirely and headed for the mountains of Montana, guitar in tow, where she cut her teeth as a writer and performer.  After moving to the northeast, she spent the next 2 decades as a single mom juggling multiple jobs and performing on and off when she could.  She received several songwriting recognitions during those years, including the Kerrville Folk Festival NewFolk, released two DIY indie recordings and made several guest recording appearances.

Now with her children grown, Kate has dedicated her life to her art completely. She just finished recording what she truly feels is her best work yet and is eager to hit the road in 2023.
